MISSION:
The Galleries plan of Ringling College of Fine art and Design includes exhibitions and activities that celebrate the work and production of students, faculty and alumni. Our half-dozen on-campus galleries besides host one person, group and thematic exhibitions that include locally, nationally and internationally known individuals. You will always find an exciting new exhibition, artist talk, lecture, or event to attend. Whether you're an aspiring artist or someone who is curious well-nigh new forms of creative expression, we welcome you to expand your perspective. Discover awe-inspiring work and thought-provoking insights from the fine art world.
Ringling College Galleries are free and open to the public. The Galleries on the campus of Ringling College of Art & Blueprint provide a calendar of activities that supports the academic mission and curriculum of Ringling College.

Art in Action: Visionaries and Voices
Every bit an Fine art and Design College, Ringling is focused on education. Whether it's a student or art enthusiast, its galleries afford the visitor the most straight appointment with art and ideas. The artistic vision for this year'due south program of exhibitions and events is not only to educate our visitors almost the information emerging from the artwork and the facts related to it, simply too provide cultural programs and exhibitions within the Galleries that will institute itself as a place to assemble and share homo experiences.

Lois + David Stulberg Gallery
The Lois and David Stulberg Gallery is Ringling College's premier on-campus exhibition infinite in the center of campus (#2 on our campus map) in the Richard and Barbara Basch Visual Arts Eye. The gallery presents lively, rotating displays of gimmicky painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and experimental work past student, faculty, emerging and established artists.

Patricia Thompson Alumni + Skylight Galleries features rotating exhibitions by Ringling College Alumni from all majors on the start floor of the intimate and historic on-campus Keating Centre.
Richard + Barbara Basch Gallery
The Richard + Barbara Basch Gallery was established as a premier location for the exhibition of student, faculty, emerging, and established artists. Located on the bottom floor of the Larry R. Thompson Academic Heart (#1 on our campus map), the gallery features 1200 sqft of exhibition infinite with an adjoining Harold + Ronald Kendall Atrium for hosting artist receptions and other events including the popularAnnual Richard and Barbara Basch Drinking glass Exhibition.
Willis Smith Construction Inc. Gallery
As the 2d largest gallery located on the south side of campus, The Willis Smith Construction Inc. Gallery hosts rotating group and solo exhibitions showcasing various mediums and styles from contemporary and modern to traditional piece of work by established artists, emerging artists, students, and faculty. This gallery is located on the lesser floor of the Larry R. Thompson Academic Eye and is #5 on our campus map.
Projection Space 340 (PS340)
Projection Space 340, Ringling College'due south newest gallery is conveniently located in the celebrated Rosemary District in the center of downtown Sarasota and features exhibitions and events by Ringling College students, alumni, faculty, and visiting artists. Abbreviated equally PS340, this off-campus gallery serves every bit a catalyst for expansive and sustained interactions; where ideas are germinated and dialogue is shared with a diverse set of local communities. PS340 exhibitions will run concurrently with the regular Ringling College Galleries and Exhibition's season, with a variety of opening receptions and programming. Featuring original paintings and drawings by renowned illustrator and long-time Ringling Higher Kinesthesia member, Regan Dunnick (Class of 1976). The Patricia Thompson Gallery features rotating exhibitions by Ringling Higher Alumni from all majors on the first floor of the historic Keating Middle.
BIO: Regan Dunnick is an internationally known illustrator. He has won numerous awards and his works are in the permanent collection of the Library of Congress. He has been selected to such major exhibitions equally the Un Ecology Testify, The New Pop Show — which toured Europe and chronicled innovators, American Illustration, and The Hiroshima Memorial Blueprint Show (Hiroshima, Japan).

A truly compelling narrative has transformative power. Every bit stories get alive and engage they teach u.s. virtually our communities, our histories and ourselves. Ringgold + Robinson: Storytellers, is a two-creative person exhibition featuring a mini survey of mixed media artworks by legendary African American female artists Faith Ringgold and Aminah Robinson. This exhibition will be on view (in-person and online) from January xi – February 12, 2021 in the Lois and David Stulberg Gallery located on the Ringling College of Fine art and Design campus.

Well-nigh THE ARTISTS:
Faith Ringgold(1930-)
Storytelling is at the centre of Faith Ringgold'due south practise. For more than l years, she'south been creating, writing, and performing art that documents the American narrative. She's explored segregation and the Civil Rights Movement, considered black pride and the politics of pare color, and reflected on her personal experiences—sharing how it felt to be a black woman in the 1960s and the decades hence. In recognition of her contributions every bit an artist and activist, Ringgold has received endless honors, including a National Endowment for the Arts Award, a Guggenheim Fellowship for Painting, and an NAACP Image Award. Her piece of work continues to be exhibited in major museums around the earth.
Aminah Robinson(1940-2015)
For more than sixty years, Aminah Robinson created art inspired by the African concept of Sankofa: understanding the past in society to go forward. An creative person, instructor, storyteller, messenger, and historian, her work reflects the cartoon, papermaking, and needlework traditions that she learned from her parents and the grooming she received in art school. Aminah created sculpture, large complex piece of work she chosen RagGonNons, rag paintings, paintings on cloth, drawings, and books about her family and community, African American history, her travels, and the stories she was told by her elders. Her goal was to inspire others to research and document the history of their families and communities for the adjacent generation.

Now in its 12th year, the Ringling College drinking glass sculpture exhibition from the Richard and Barbara Basch Collection presents A Few of Our Favorite Things. This exhibition features some of the most exceptional examples of art drinking glass and brilliant one-of-a-kind commissions past the greatest masters of the medium from around the globe. It highlights the Basch Collection of more than 300 works of art glass by iconic artists, including: Giampaolo Amoruso, Martin Blank, Latchezar Boyadjiev, Peter Bremers, Lucio Bubacco, Dale Chihuly, Laura di Santillana, Laura Donefer, Robin Grebe, Colin Heaney, Shin-ichi Higuchi, Richard Purple, Lino Tagliapietra, and Bertil Vallien.
